Group Scout Leader - 1st Coggeshall Scout Group
This role will suit a skilled manager, with or without prior experience of scouts. The Group Scout Leader is the senior volunteer within a scout group, leading the team of adults who run the group. This is a voluntary role. There are no fixed hours, though the commitment required will usually be of the order of 2 to 3 hours per week, at times to suit the individual. The initial appointment is for three years.
The 1st Coggeshall Scout Group is a large, successful and thriving group, providing exciting, adventurous activities to over 100 boys and girls aged 6-14. The group is currently based in a new Headquarters located at Honywood School Coggeshall, and the current Group Scout Leader is stepping down.
The group has a large team of skilled and experienced adult leaders, who provide a weekly programme of activities for its members. However, for the long term success of the group, great management is as important as great people on the front line.
