This year the 1st Coggeshall Beavers went on a trip to Chatham docks in Kent.
It was an early start with the coach leaving at 8:30 and we got there at about 10:30. It was a really good day they went on HMS Cavalier, learning that the HMS Cavalier has been in The Historic Dockyard at Chatham since 1987, with ownership passing from the Maritime Trust to Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust in 1994.
They also went on the HMS Submarine Ocelot, learning that the Ocelot was the last submarine to be built in Chatham Dockyard for the Royal Navy. We looked at a lot more boats as well then we left at 4:30 and got back at about 6:00.It was a very good day out.
